Dr. Hennenfent’s journey to diagnosis

Dr. Hennenfent, retired ER physician

Dr. Hennenfent

“I was having symptoms of a stroke—my face was not symmetric, and I was having other symptoms, such as stumbling more often, and experiencing more hearing loss and tinnitus.”

His family doctor ordered MRI of the brain and cervical spine. At the hospital, the technologist gave their best effort. Because of kyphosis, they could not provide the needed MRI. He was turned away. Later appointments were unsuccessful.

“The fact that it took me about 7.5 years to get MRIs done was very scary.”

“From experience, I can tell you that being perched on top of a bunch of unsteady pillows is a dangerous experience.” He was shocked to find that pillows-upon-pillows was the standard of care.

“KyphoLift overcomes obstacles in MRI and keeps the patient safe and stable while getting them in the correct position.”

These stories are individual. The challenge is not.
