MRI Conditional 3T or Less

Foot pumps & carrying case must remain outside of the 200 gauss line* Please see KyphoLift “Instructions for Use” for additional information.

  1. Shoulder Pads

  4. Short Hose connected to KyphoLift
  5. Long Hose connected to Foot Pump
  1. Remove KyphoLift from carrying case and place on table. KyphoLift should be flush with bottom of head coil.
  2. Disposable pads are available upon direct inquiry, for unresponsive patients.
  3. Remove clip from foot pump for use. Replace clip after use for storage. (Small black plug should remain unplugged for use)
  4. Push narrow end of long hose into the short hose until it clicks. Twist other end of the long hose into the central hole of the foot pump.
  5. Position patient onto KyphoLift and into head coil. Buckle straps across patient. Place shoulder pads and knee cushioning for patient comfort.
  6. Use the foot pump to inflate KyphoLift to desired position.
  7. Pad lower legs as needed for comfort and reduce strain on patient’s lower back.
  8. Observe and pad patient and extremities for proximity to bore while moving table position in the “z” plane axis.
  9. Disconnect the long hose during the scan. Press gray button near connection to disconnect.
  10. After scan, remove the anterior head coil, deflate the KyphoLift by pressing the red valve on either side.
  11. Unbuckle, and assist the patient off the table.
  12. Clean the KyphoLift after use and return to case.
